Harringtons Puppy Food

Choosing puppy food for the newest member of the family shouldn't be the hard part. Our puppy food is made with freshly prepared meat or fish as the first ingredient, plus the calcium, protein, and DHA growing pups need to develop well. It's suitable from eight weeks, and every recipe is complete, balanced, and made in our own Yorkshire factory. Puppies grow fast and eat little and often, so we make puppy food in a few different formats to suit your routine. There's dry puppy food for easy feeding, wet puppy food for tempting fussy eaters, grain free recipes for pups with sensitivities, and a single protein chicken option for simpler meals. Whatever you choose, you'll find no artificial colours, flavours, or preservatives, no wheat, soya, or dairy, and recipes our nutritionists have helped shape. FAQ

What age is Harringtons Puppy Dog Food suitable for?

Our puppy food is suitable for puppies from eight weeks old up until around 12 months. Larger breeds may benefit from staying on puppy food for a little longer, often up to 18 months, as their bones and joints develop more slowly. A quick chat with your vet can help put your mind at ease if you're not sure when to move your pup onto adult food.

What's the difference between dry and wet puppy food?

Dry puppy food is energy-dense, easy to store, and good for slow eaters who like to graze. Wet puppy food in trays has higher moisture content, tends to be more flavourful, and can help pups who don't drink much water on their own. Many owners use both at different meals, which adds variety and tends to keep mealtimes interesting.

How often should I feed my puppy?

Puppies aged eight to 12 weeks tend to do best on four small meals a day, then three meals a day from around 12 weeks to six months, then two meals a day from six months onwards. Their stomachs are small and they burn energy quickly, so smaller, more frequent meals tend to work better than one or two big ones. Feeding amounts depend on breed and activity level, so a quick chat with your vet can help if you're not sure.

Is Harringtons Puppy Food suitable for sensitive stomachs?

Yes, we have grain free wet puppy food that's gentle on digestion, and our Superfoods Puppy range is made with natural ingredients that are easy on young tummies. If your puppy seems unsettled by their food, it's always worth a chat with your vet to rule out anything else.
