Harringtons Favourite Dog Training Classes

Having a well-trained dog is one of the top goals for most dog owners and dog-training classes are just for puppies. They can be a great way of mixing up your dog’s exercise routine or challenging them beyond your usual ‘sit’ command. Just make sure you choose the right one for you and your pet.

1.Agility: A great way to keep your dog in shape and a fun and friendly sport for you both. Your dog will learn to run through an obstacle course jumping and weaving through a selection of different obstacles, testing your dog’s fitness as well as your ability to direct him. The Kennel Club is a good place to find out more (click here).

2.Working trials: A competitive sport that develops and tests lots of canine skills including obedience, agility, intelligence and tracking, there are many training societies and clubs across the country. Trials are demanding and require hard work but are extremely fun and rewarding, and there’s a good social scene too. Get more information here.

3.Obedience: There are lots of training classes across the UK whether your dog is a puppy, senior, beginner or more experienced pooch. 4.Canicross: Not a fan of classes? You can still try something new. Canicross is a great way to build the bond between you and your dog, as well as keeping you both fit.
